About
Elesha Casimir is a visual artist working across textile art, collage, and performance. Rooted in the tactile nature of fiber arts, her practice repurposes discarded objects and found materials through meticulous hand-techniques. Casimir explores themes of memory, identity, agency, and ethnicity, transforming forgotten material culture into site-responsive narratives and visual assemblages.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Textile Design from Thomas Jefferson University (Philadelphia) and has completed specialized studies in Fiber Arts, Fashion, and French Language across international institutions, including the Fashion Institute of Technology (New York) and Massey University (Wellington, NZ).
Drawing from an extensive professional background in textile research and material development for global design houses, Casimir bridges industrial expertise with fine art experimentation. Her work has been shared through galleries, workshops, and educational programs.
Currently based in Paris, Casimir is available for residency invitations, exhibition opportunities, and artistic collaborations.
